Easy marshmallow bars for kids

Ingredients                                        Supplies

  • Jet -puffed FunMallows                                                     * double boiler or 2 pots
  • Rice cereal cereal                                                               * large bowl
  • peanut butter                                                                     * mixing spoon
  • butter                                                                                   * measuring cups
  • mini chocolate chips                                                       
  • white chocolate chips                                                        
  • sprinkles

Gather and measure all your ingredients.

Combine the marshmallows, mini chocolate chips and rice crispies into a large bowl. Mix.

Set up your double boiler. If you do not have one (like me) I use a small pot on the bottom and the next size on top. Fill the bottom pot 1/4 of the way with water. Set on the stove and place your bigger pot on top. Add the white chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter. Turn burner on medium low and slowly melt. Stir often. Remove from burner when melted.

Let the melted mixture cool for 5-10 minutes. Pour the melted mixture into the dry ingredients and stir carefully.

Lightly grease the bottom of the pan and sprinkle with the sprinkles.

Pour the mixture into the pan and spread. Top with white chocolate chips and sprinkles. Let cool. Store bars in the fridge.

Super easy marshmallow bars.

Course Dessert
Servings 20 people

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups rice krispies
  • 1 10 ounce bag colored marshmallows
  • 1 12 ounce bag premium white chocolate chips
  • 2/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp sprinkles
  • 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • 1. Measure out all ingredients. In a large bowl add the marshmallows, rice krispies and the mini chocolate chips.
  • 2. Lightly grease the bottom of a 9 by 13 inch pan and sprinkle with sprinkles. Set aside 1/4 cup of white chocolate chips.
  • 3. Using a double boiler or 2 pots. Fill the bottom pot 1/4 of the way with water. Place the larger pot on top. Add the peanut butter, white chocolate chips and the butter. Turn the stove burner to medium low. Stir often until melted. Remove from heat. Let cool 5-10 minutes
  • 4. Pour the melted mixture into the dry ingredients and mix carefully.
  • 5. Pour the mixture into your prepared pan and spread out. Top with sprinkles and the left over white chocolate chips. Let cool. Store bars in the fridge.
